To comply with federal rules, workers at Universal Orlando’s theme parks will be required to get vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing beginning next month, according to company officials.
The bulk of employees has already been immunized.
Guests are unaffected by the new policy.
Companies with 100 or more employees must force workers to get vaccinated or mandate unvaccinated employees to undergo weekly COVID testing, according to federal laws that went into effect Monday.
The regulations are being challenged in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Universal officials stated in a statement that employees at the theme parks must be completely vaccinated by Feb. 9 or face a weekly test.
According to them, the company will first give free onsite testing.
